IFEHC is registered with the Idaho Bureau of Laboratories for lab tests exempt from Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Currently, those are the tests that the FMCSA-NRCME specifies must be done for Department of Transportation (DOT)-Commercial Driver's License (CDL) medical cards for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators (specifically truck and bus drivers). For non-exempt tests (mainly for free clinic patients but possibly for DOT-CDL patients who need further testing), IFEHC will refer to a private lab. Letter confirming registration received from Idaho Department of Health & Welfare confirming registration.
This redacted CLIA application lists the tests for which IFEHC requested, and was subsequently granted, approval. The tests listed were those specified by FMCSA-NRCME for Department of Transportation (DOT)-Commercial Driver's License (CDL) medical cards for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators (specifically truck and bus drivers).
The CLIA certificate issued to IFEHC April 9, 2020 of its exempt laboratory status. Currently, the certificate is for the urine tests specified by the FMCSA-NRCME for Department of Transportation (DOT)-Commercial Driver's License (CDL) medical cards for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators (specifically truck and bus drivers)
