The Idaho Falls Employment Health Clinic's (IFEHC's) Department of Transportation (DOT) Clinic provides medical examinations for the FMCSA-NRCME Department of Transportation (DOT)-Commercial Driver's License (CDL) cards for truck and bus drivers. However, we more broadly refer to this program as the Employment Health Clinic because of the wide array of services rendered. We offer working adults an employment health clinic open late hours. We charge low prices (listed on the Home page). We use the proceeds to fund our outreach efforts: Free Clinic, Paid Internship, and Consumer Advocacy campaigns.
Same day appointments are most likely if you reside in the immediate surrounding area: Idaho Falls, Roberts, Ucon, Ammon, Rexburg, Rigby, Shelley, Firth, Chubbuck, Blackfoot, Fort Hall, Inkom, Pocatello, McCammon, Downey, Preston, Malad, Portage, Tremonton, or Logan. However, IFEHC aims to serve the entire non-Coastal West and will do its best to accommodate individuals from Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada.

Please note that Idaho Falls Employment Health Clinic (IFEHC) currently only does medical clearance (viz, as opposed to industrial hygiene respiratory fitting).

Maybe you are a DOT-CDL card holder driving a truck or bus who needs a respirator medical fitness evaluation for HAZMAT program. Or maybe a different industry such as health where individuals face potential biological or other environmental hazards. If you are in Idaho Falls, Roberts, Ucon, Ammon, Rexburg, Rigby, Shelley, Firth, Chubbuck, Blackfoot, Fort Hall, Inkom, Pocatello, McCammon, Downey, Preston, Malad, Portage, Tremonton, or Logan; we can likely schedule a same day appointment.

Idaho Falls Employment Health Clinic's (IFEHC's) Employment Health Clinic currently offers consultation in the following medicolegal areas.
As of August 27, 2021; these services are free to private individuals. What a way to make an impression on a judge or jury - to have an expert working pro bono testify. This makes IFEHC independent. Medical Director Dr. David M. Boren, M.D. is licensed in Idaho and Utah and is applying for other licenses in the non-Coastal West. Dr. Boren will happily take cases anywhere in the non-Coastal West.
Free means that IFEHC generates no revenue. IFEHC asks that any additional expenditures that IFEHC's Medical Director must assume in carrying out this service beyond $25 be covered. For instance, IFEHC cannot afford the cost of being faxed 100's of pages or traveling from Idaho to Louisiana (a distance of nearly 1,500 miles) to testify.
Disclaimer: Not all of our medicolegal consultation work we do is without compensation. We are hired by insurance companies and other large companies to perform evaluations. Accepting payment from large payers who have the ability to afford our services allows us to pass the revenue to those in need. If the work is compensated by an insurance company, it is important you only communicate through the proper channels to which you agreed.
